Cultural Resources
Acheulean has decades of experience specializing in all aspects of Cultural Resource issues, from conducting archaeological surveys, historic resource studies, to exhibit and interpretive sign design. Acheulean staff have access to cutting edge technology such as LIDAR, and Ground Penetrating Radar to efficiently and effectively carry out projects while maintaining a low overhead.
Geological Testing Services
Acheulean staff provide the necessary data you need to finish your projects by understanding the regulatory process needed for your project to succeed. Groundwater analysis, soil borings, and materials testing are just few of the tests used to provide the most complete picture of your project area.

Project Examples
In 2016, Acheulean staff were hired to perform an archaeological survey by Pennsylvania Army National Guard - Fort Indiantown Gap (FTIG) for a various base improvement projects including the extension of a live-fire firing range, the construction of perimeter fencing, and the clearance of areas used for training purposes. The project was conducted at three locations on property managed by FTIG, within Lebanon and Dauphin Counties, Pennsylvania. A known historic site was on the property, a historic iron foundry (36DA231) was re investigated, as well as a newly identified 19th century homestead site was identified and recorded (36LE561).
Ft. Indiantown Gap, Annville, PA
In spring of 2015, Acheulean Staff in conjunction with AECOM partnered to conduct NEPA related services in anticipation of a 640-acre solar farm in Burke County, Georgia. A cultural resource survey as well as a habitat assessment, and a wetland delineation was conducted.
Following the initial Phase I investigation, a Phase II investigation was required of a previously unrecorded site. The Habitat Assessment yielded potential habitat for Threatened and Endangered Species. The wetland delineation yielded less than a dozen ephemeral streams, and a large wetland.
Whiteoak Solar, Burke County, Georgia
In 2014 Acheulean staff was contacted by the National Parks Service to conduct an archaeological survey in response to planned construction activities on the Hopeton Earthwork National Historic Park. The Acheulean staff carried out the project and helped to draft a management plan for the proposed trail and viewing platform construction.

Since 2016 Acheulean has been conducting NEPA surveys for EBI Consulting, Inc across the country. These projects involve new build and expansions for cellular towers. Thse studies though small in space were multi-faceted including various aspects of FCC regulatory requirements.
EBI Consulting, Multi-State
Between 2016 and 2017 Acheulean Consulting assisted a development project in Daviess County, Kentucky. The developer needed an archaeological investigation conducted to fulfill the requirements of the USACE permit to develop the site. Acheulean worked directly with eh USACE to ensure that the permit was issued and that construction could proceed with as planned.
